What got us here?

We've been asked numerous times why in the world we would pick up and move from a normal house in a community complete with public transportation, local supermarket and schools to a community one tenth the size, into a tumble-down mobile home roughly 1/3 the size of our own house, with none of the material conveniences to which we had become (very much) accustomed.  I can sum it up in saying that we simply, after eleven years, had not found our place, had some different priorities and were looking for some place where we could make a difference.  We've found what we were looking for here.  My children, being some of the oldest kids around, have leadership opportunities here.  There is no need to lock up personal belongings such as kid cars, bicycles, etc.  And as far as making a difference goes, especially after the to-be-described events of last week, there is absolutely a lot of work to be done.  Every brain and every back and set of hands helps.   The people here work their tails off and exist on very little sleep and they keep the place going.  We have been very warmly received by the residents of Migron.  They are bright, motivated, conscientious people and parents who love the Land and the Nation of Israel to the core.
